Lip Gloss

I hate to break the news that neither AD or I are big make up wearers. Sorry! Having said that, one product that we do use regularly is a lip gloss. Especially post beach ... throw on your kaftan, apply some lip gloss and you're ready to party.

With many Christmas gift sets out there it's a great time to stock up on mini sized glosses which are perfect for travelling.  I also like how you are able to try out a few different colours.

AD has bought me a Benefit set before which I love using. Just the right amount of sparkle to make you feel special.  Here is this year's "Love at first shine" kit which includes 6 of their most popular shades.

Last summer I tried Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector which I was a big fan of. It was easy to apply and made my lips feel plump and super shiny. Clarins have included this in a set dedicated to lips this Christmas. There are also 2 other great looking glosses and a lipstick to try and it comes in a handy little cosmetics bag.

Lancome's Juicy Tubes are a classic. They were launched in 2000 and it was the first lip gloss in a tube. Apparently 11 are sold around the world every minute! The gloss glides on easily and leaves a highly lacquered look on your lips. This set has a great selection of colours, ranging from a nude to a deep reddy pink.

Finally, one lip gloss/balm that I have been meaning to try is a Clinique Chubby Stick. More like a tinted balm, they are loaded with mango and shea butters. Love the names as well. This set includes Pudgy Peony, Two Ton Tomato and Voluptuous Violet.  I hope I get one of these in my stocking this year! MP
