Happy Aperol Spritz Friday!

In the last few years an Aperol Spritz has become my go to drink after a day at the beach or pool.  Aperol is Italy's number one selling spirit and it's deep orange hue is derived from an infusion of herbs and roots that have remained secret and unchanged since 1919.  It is milder and less bitter than Campari and mixed with Prosecco and a splash of soda, served with a slice of orange and poured over ice it's the perfect pick me up drink.

So go ahead and make yourself one!  3 parts Aperol, 2 parts Prosecco, splash of soda water and serve with a slice of orange and lots of ice.  Happy weekend!  MP
